Take me down wild river,
Adventurous, free, crazy river.
Splashing, tossing,
Rising, Falling.
Adrenaline rush, awakening every fiber, body and soul.
Freeing me. Dig. Dig. Dig. Turn.
Hard rudder left. Hard Rudder Left!
Whew! That was Close.
Man versus nature. Or is it?
Are we against each other or are we one?
Carry me on down crazy river.
You’re in my blood.
Your ice cold water runs through my veins.
Excitement at fever pitch. Blood warms, churns and boils.
Just like the river.
I long to go down to the river.

Thank you! I read your poems: The Moon, Jacaranda Tree and Away from the Madness. You say you’re not a poet, but I disagree. Your words are poetic and beautiful.
