This is Big Eric’s Waterfall. It’s not big, but it sure is beautiful.

This is the view we were rewarded with for walking up a hill.

This is that hill. It’s inviting you to come on up and see the sights.

It’s so open in the above two pictures.

The branches are bare. Two weeks later I’m sure they’d be loaded with green, but the U.P. had a huge snow fall in April, 2018 and everything was just a little late in blooming. These pictures were taken mid-to late May, 2018.

Those steps are on the other side of the river. The previous pictures were on the left side looking downstream. The steps are on the right.

They provided a bench in case you just want to sit, relax and enjoy the view.

The state park is right next to the river. From this site you can see and hear the waterfall. If you love the sound, this is a great spot. It’s right next to the road though. If you don’t want to hear the falls all night, there’s more sites further down.

Big Erik’s is away from it all. If that’s what you’re looking for, you want to come here.
