Have you ever been to an event where they had a raffle and you had to be present to get your prize?
They read off the number. Everyone’s looking around. No one is coming forward. They read the number again, a little louder. Still, no one is coming up to get their prize.
One more time: they shout the number out real loud.
Still, nothing.
Isn’t it sad that someone missed out on that wonderful gift, just because they didn’t care enough about it to claim it?
Jesus gives us all the gift of salvation. He shouts out our name over and over again; louder and louder. All you have to do is claim it, accept it and it’s yours!
